Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of free internet and e-learning on learning motivation of students of SMK Negeri 1 Boyolangu. The background of this research is the development of technology that encourages the use of the internet and e-learning in education. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression techniques. The sample in this study was class XI students majoring in TKJ totaling 70 respondents, selected by total sampling technique. The results showed that simultaneously, free internet and e-learning learning had a significant effect on student learning motivation. However, partially, only e-learning learning has a significant effect, while free internet does not have a significant effect on learning motivation. This finding indicates that although internet access is important, its use needs to be directed in a structured learning system to be effective in increasing learning motivation.
